COVID-19 Updates

Monday April 6th 2020 - Temporarily Closed 

We have decided to briefly suspend all physical therapy, aquatic therapy, personal training, our fitness center, aquacise and yoga classes on Tuesday March 24th 2020 until further notice in order to protect the safety of our patients and staff.  

We are currently offering telehealth appointments for patients who may continue to need physical therapy services, but are concerned about the spread of COVID-19.  Telehealth is a covered benefit with most insurances in Massachusetts for physical therapy.

Standard practices that our patients have always experienced at TheraFit Physical Therapy include:

  • All of our linens are single use and sanitized by a professional healthcare laundry service.  Click Here For Linen Procedures
    Wiping down of all treatment tables and equipment after each use with hospital grade disinfectant. Virex Cleaner
  • Therafit has always been equipped with purell hand sanitizer stations throughout the facilities.   
    We constantly clean high-touch areas with medical grade disinfectant (e.g., door handles, common area surfaces, railings, chairs, light switches, payment machines, exercise equipment and treatment tools) and provide Antibacterial Wipes at several stations throughout the facilities for our members.  
  • Our therapy staff always wash their hands thoroughly between treating each patient and always follow universal precautions when required.   
  • We can all play a role and join the battle against this virus.

Some additional precautions that you may encounter when we resume our in-clinic appointments may include social distancing within our clinic for the health and the safety of you, our staff, and our treating clinicians.

Some measures may include the use of gloves and masks, in addition to increased frequency of cleaning procedures.

We will have implemented initial screenings to inquire about your health history and any possibility of exposure or symptoms related to COVID-19 before you may begin treatment in the clinic.
